While sitting in hunt camp this past October (2005) we decided to watch the Gouthro’s Moose Madness DVD series. After watching several hours and practicing well into the night I thought I would give it a try the next day.

I did as instructed in the DVD trying to recreate what I had watched. After several hours with no response, I decided to go for a walk. Returning to my original calling location sometime later I could hear a Moose grunting. I thought it was my partner and marveled at how much he had improved after watching the DVD’s for the first time. As it turned out he was hearing the same grunts and was thinking the same thoughts about me. To my surprise I walked into two Bull Moose not more that 40 feet from my calling position. They had responded to my calling while I was on my walk. One ran into the bush disappearing, while the other ran 30 yards into the open and stopped to look at me. His rack measured 52″ wide.

I fully believe the success of that day is attributed to watching the Moose Madness DVD’s. With the proper instruction, it all came together. I highly recommend viewing these DVD’s. Regardless of your experience, it will give you more insight and success in the field. I will certainly be viewing them again before next year’s big game hunting season.
